Snažíme se Vás informovat o méně známých lidech, kteří se snaží poctivě pracovat a uspět ve svém oboru, ovšem ne za každou cenu. Bandzone.cz podporuje začínající, neprofesionální kapely a hudebníky. Opět jsme zabrouzdali touto databází, která obsahuje více než 12000 zaregistrovaných hudebníků, a oslovili jsme muzikanta z Nového Zélandu, který žije a pracuje v Praze. When did you arrive to Czech Republic?
I arrived in the Czech Republic March 2007.
Why did you choose Czech Republic?
I returned to England after spending 2 years living in Australia. After being home for a few months I still wasn´t settled. After not seeing my best friend for a few years he took me on a weekend break to Prague. I loved it!!!
4 months later back in England I met a girl from Prague. To cut a long story short I packed my bags and moved over to the Czech Republic. Thinking I would probably only stay for a few months, I have been here now 2 years.
What did you studied?
I left school at age 16. I then went to a drama collage and studied theatre/music for 2 years. I then went to university to study music… I decided after 1 year I wanted to leave the course and join a band. I arrived home thinking „What have I done!“. Fortunately I met a couple of talanted musicians, got a band together, and had a blast.
What did you do with your band…?
Our band was based in Liverpool. We played all over the UK (resident band in the famous „Cavern club“- Liverpool). We went on tour in Ireland and Germany and got to support the likes of Glen Tillbrook (SQUEEZE) and SHED 7. Our band played live on Radio Merseyside after recording our EP…
What about your Czech language? Can you speak Czech?
My Czech is certainly improving. But I am far from fluent. I feel pretty safe in pub surroundings (haha). I think in another 10 years I will be great!!
What do you like in Czech and what you dont´t like?
I like how „laidback“ the Czech Republic is. Nobody seems to be materialistic. You can come and go as you please. Great food, superb beer and the women are very easy on the eye „wink wink“. The only thing thats „bugs me“ is when you get change e.g. supermarket or tabak the person never put the change on your hand. It always goes on that little plastic tray. (But I can live with it!!! Just about!). Listen to the CD, enjoy and I will see you soon.
